Artist Statement
At this stage of my career, my focus has shifted away from competitions and group exhibitions toward creating series of work that speak to transformation, activism, and legacy. My art is both personal and political—a call for beauty, resilience, and change in a fragile world.
The Circus Series, born in Alicante in 2023, has travelled the world alongside my son Nelson and Cirque du Soleil’s Luzia. It has been exhibited in Vienna’s VIP lounge, shown privately backstage for Cirque VIPs in New York, and now finds its permanent home in Cirque du Soleil’s headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
The Save the Sea Series channels my deep concern for our oceans. Proceeds from this work support Greenpeace, funding campaigns that prevent fossil fuel expansion and advocate for the creation of marine parks, protecting our most vital ecosystems.
The Goddess Series is a rising invocation of the divine feminine—artworks that aim to empower women, dismantle patriarchy, and amplify women’s voices in leadership. This body of work envisions a future where women hold their rightful place at decision-making tables worldwide, guiding humanity through the climate crisis and into balance with the Earth.
My practice is rooted in a belief that art must be more than aesthetic—it must serve as a legacy of change. Recently, I have joined marches for Palestine and donated works to the Palestinian freedom movement, continuing my commitment to justice, peace, and liberation.
Through each series, I hope my art inspires courage, sparks dialogue, and empowers collective action. My vision is to leave behind a body of work that not only tells my story, but also carries forward a message of hope and transformation for generations to come.
